Description:
The Sculling II program is a continuation of ACR’s Novice Scull/Sculling I programs and is intended for rowers with at least these programs or 1 year of a commensurate program. Rowers will be encouraged to build on their newly learned technique.
Rowers will continue learning/reinforcing:
Basic terminology/vocabulary
Basic rowing stroke on erg
Basic rowing stroke on the water
Ability to both bow (drive) and stroke
Basic maneuvering
Basic safety responsibilities
Equipment carriage / usage (launching, recovering, carrying boats and oars)
Basic equipment knowledge (spread, height, pitch, stretcher positioning, basic rigging and tools)
Practice efficiency/productivity (punctuality, stretching, 90-seconds on/off dock, pre-brief/post-brief)
Prerequisite to enter Club/Comp/III programs
