COVID-19 / 2020 Season Update

We hope that everyone is feeling well, finding ways to maintain physical and emotional fitness, and practicing social distancing during this challenging time.

1.  What is the status of the 2020 season? 

The 2020 season has been cancelled.  If there is an opportunity for a limited morning season in the August-October time frame, then we will open a new registration with pro-rated fees and adjusted programs. We make no assumptions or projections at this point whether larger boats will be allowed, overall limits on program size, staggering dock access for social distancing, how many will be interested in such programs, what coaching will be needed, etc. If there is a season, there will almost certainly be changes made to cleaning procedures, dock access to ensure safety.

2.  What if I already registered for the 2020 season and paid membership and program fees? 

If you registered for a program, there are three options for disposition of your membership and program fees:

  1. A full refund of your membership dues and program fees less the SportsEngine transaction fee (which is 3%+$1);
  2. Application of the full amount as a credit toward future ACR programming; or
  3. Designating a portion (you choose) of your fees for charitable donation to ACR to maintain operations.

To select an option, you must complete this form by 5:00pm on June 1, 2020 - https://forms.gle/J73FtdUs7a5JrEBS7.  If no form is received (i.e., emails, phone calls, telepathy, and flagging the Dockmasters down in the grocery store will NOT count), your fees will automatically be held as credit toward a future ACR program.

3.  Is registration still open? 

No.  If it is possible to hold an abbreviated season in the August-October time frame, we will reopen registration at that time.  

4.  What about rack rentals? 

For those who rent racks, if you haven't already, please fill out this form to indicate what you would like to do with your rack - https://forms.gle/PqHTyMhWVM9txTqK7.  Access to the boathouse to pick up your single is by appointment only on Saturday, May 30.

5.  Can I access the boathouse to row my personal single scull? 

No, there is no access for members to the boathouse at this time.

6.  How can I keep up to date?
