2020 Season Update

We have received a number of questions about the upcoming season. We have done our best to answer the questions here and will update the page as more information becomes available.

Virtual Annual Meeting

While we were not able to meet in person, you can catch up here on what would have been discussed at the annual meeting.  Please let your coach, one of the dockmasters, or your program representative know if you have any questions.


Alexandria City Public Schools has closed the boathouse, effectively immediately, for an unknown duration. This means NO winter conditioning and the annual member meeting is canceled.  Be watching your email for updates about the situation.

Registration for the 2020 rowing season is open! Check out available programs here.  


CANCELED.  Mark your calendars!  The member annual meeting will be Sunday, March 15 at 1:00 pm at the boathouse.

ACR is 30!  

ACR is celebrating 30 years of rowing on the Potomac.  Club member Alice Reid compiled the club's history.  Check it out here

Alexandria Community Rowing (ACR) is a rowing club in Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area that provides recreational and competitive rowing opportunities for adults rowers of all ages and skill levels. We are affiliated with the Alexandria Crew Boosters, Inc., which supports the T.C. Williams High School rowing program. Given our affiliation and support, ACR has access to one of the most modern and fully equipped boathouses in  Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia.
